Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Shop Manager to lead our store operations while also supporting marketing, social media, and customer service. This role is perfect for someone who loves retail, enjoys connecting with customers, and has a creative eye for brand storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

Store & Team Management

• Oversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring the shop runs smoothly
• Lead by example on the shop floor, delivering excellent customer service
• Handle opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and basic reporting
• Maintain high visual merchandising and store presentation standards
  

Customer Service

• Create a warm, friendly, and memorable shopping experience for every customer
• Handle customer queries, feedback, and returns professionally
• Build strong relationships with repeat customers and the local community
• Ensure customer service standards are consistently high in-store and online

Marketing & Social Media Support

• Assist with creating and posting content for social media (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
• Help showcase new arrivals, promotions, and in-store moments
• Engage with customers online through comments and messages
• Support campaigns, launches, and seasonal promotions
• Share ideas to grow brand awareness and footfall

Stock & Sales

• Manage stock levels, deliveries, and replenishment
• Keep track of best sellers and customer preferences
• Support sales targets and contribute ideas to drive revenue
  

Skills & Experience

• Previous retail experience is preferable 
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Interest or experience in social media and marketing (professional or personal)
• Organised, reliable, and confident working independently
• Creative eye for visual merchandising and brand presentation
• Passion for children’s fashion or lifestyle brands is a bonus

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Casual Store Assistant to support day-to-day shop operations, customer service, and basic marketing and social media activity. This is a junior, part-time role with flexible hours, ideal for someone who enjoys retail, has an interest in social media, and wants to grow their skills in a small, creative business.

Key Responsibilities

In-Store Support & Customer Service

• Provide warm, helpful customer service in-store
• Assist customers with product questions, sizing, and styling
• Support opening/closing tasks and general shop upkeep
• Help maintain tidy displays and visual standards
• Assist with handling deliveries and restocking

Social Media & Marketing Support

• Help create simple content for social media (photos, videos, stories)
• Support posting about new arrivals, promotions, and in-store moments
• Engage with customers online by responding to comments or messages (with guidance)
• Share ideas for content and ways to connect with customers

General Support

• Assist with basic admin or stock tasks as needed
• Support promotions, events, or seasonal launches
• Work closely with the owner and learn about running a small retail business

Skills & Experience

• Some retail or customer-facing experience preferred but not essential
• Confident, friendly, and comfortable speaking with customers
• Interest in social media, fashion, or creative content
• Organised, reliable, and willing to learn
• A positive attitude and team-player mindset
